A chef who can create a balance sheet?! Never heard of that before, right? Well, check this out! Chris has two qualifications– before becoming a chef he aced his exam to be a tax consultant. Chapeau! Nowadays, the Brandenburg born chef prefers to juggle ingredients instead of numbers. Also, he favors booking staff than debit and credit.When Chris was 16 he moved from Brandenburg to Berlin– to Kaulsdorf, to be exact. There he learned about gastronomy from the ground up, as his father’s significant-other owned a restaurant there. Solid middle-class cuisine – something Chris loves to this day. His favorite dish? Lobscouse! After his departure into the world of finance it became clear very quickly, that his passion lies within good food. Since Chris has always had the need to do things properly, he decided to start his second education. He passed his apprenticeship in a 4-star-hotel in Moabit.
With his qualification in the bag he discovered the world. The alpine world for that matter! He combined his profession with a large dose of free time fun and spent his winters in Austria and Switzerland to go snowboarding. He did that for a couple of seasons until it was time to „settle down“. What he loves about Wild & Wiese? The small but distinguished team. He’s known his boss Franz since he was a teenager! Despite that – or because of it – they are absolutely the greatest duo.
Apart from that Chris loves everything involving water: Swimming, canoeing and rowing. Also fish! It’s not surprising his favorite places in the area all have something to do with water: Spreewald, Müggel Lake, Bad Saarow… Ahoi Chris, we are glad to have you on board!
