Ralf has always been happy in action. Sitting in school and doing homework was never his thing. He always preferred to be looking over the shoulder of his mother while she was in the kitchen and dreamt of ta future when he would one day be able to hold the big cooking spoon.
As a result of his early childhood passion, Ralf participated in his first cooking class but soon developed a taste for the business behind the food. He went on to the hotel industry where he learned the business background of gastronomy as a food & beverage trainee, discovering a valuable skill in sales. Earning a diploma as a marketing specialist, Ralf integrated smoothly in the agency day-to-day and quickly became acquainted with the challenges and demands of the “customer side”.
With this colorful package of ingredients, insight and knowledge, he founded the premium catering company “Der Blaue Hummer” with two other business partners in 1999. The catering company took off and has since been known as a leading address for high-quality food creations in Northern Germany, making a name for itself at media, design, and fashion events. In 2013, Ralf ventured to Berlin, more precisely to Karl-Marx-Allee 133, from where he has since then directed state of the art events for numerous large and small customers.
Since April 2016, Ralf has been an event consultant for a new generation of caterers and customers. When his ways finally crossed Wild & Wiese, the creative culinary cooperation was quickly sealed. Since then, Ralf has supported the two founders with advice, action, know-how, and hunting instinct.
Ralf is also known as the “client-whisperer” at Wild & Wiese. Even before it’s vocalized, Ralf almost always knows what exactly his customer wants.
